Each year, Southern Right whales grace the coastline to give birth, mate, and socialize. The peak season for whale-watching is from July to September, with the first arrivals in June and their departure in early October. Early in the season, you may observe adults mating, while late July often sees mothers with their calves along the cliffs. By August, you can spot up to 70 whales from the viewing platform. As the whales leave in October, calves have grown strong enough to join their mothers on the migration south.
Their expert local guide will reveal hidden viewing spots along the spectacular and remote coastline. The Bunda Cliffs offer unparalleled bird-watching opportunities, where coastal raptors and seasonal bustards may be spotted. On land, keep an eye out for dingos, wombats, and kangaroos.
Your adventure includes lunch, morning tea, and afternoon tea, ensuring you’re well-fed and refreshed as you explore this breathtaking region.
